EcoWinners Club

Eco-Winners Club

Eco-Winners Club is conducted and managed by St Flannan's Catholic Parish and was initiated by the Social Justice Action Group

Tickets are sold in the club which runs for a year.

Each week there is a $50 prize draw which is often held in conjunction with an after mass cuppa. Father has been conducting the draw at the school office during Covid-19 restrictions.

In the final week there will be a major prize draw of at least $1000.

Tickets cost $260 ($5/week). Ticket Payments can be made with a credit card via the Eco-Winners Payment link on the Donations page of this website.  Submit the application form together with the receipt to the parish office.

In 2020/2021, after expenses, 60% of the money from ticket sales goes towards projects with an environmental benefit to the parish and 40% is given away as prizes.  The project for 2020/2021 is the provision of solar panels for the parish presbytery, a saving financially and for the environment.

The 2019/2020 Eco-Winners Club raised money to enable the installation of new fans throughout the church.  These will reduce our electricity consumption and operate more quietly. After expenses, 60% of the money from ticket sales went towards the purchase of fans and 40% is given away as prizes. The major prize draw for 2019/2020 will be held at the 7am Mass on 29 November.  First prize is $1,600; second prize is $600; and third prize is $400.

The 2018/2019 Eco-Winners Club raised money for outdoor church seating made of recycled plastic and church data projection equipment. The data projection will enable reduction in newsletters in favour of projecting hymns and mass parts onto the church walls. The church seating is situated in a shady outdoor spot to provide a comfortable space for parishioners waiting to be picked up after mass.

The 2017/2018 Eco-Winners Club raised $5059 to enable installation of the environmentally friendly LED lights throughout the church. These will reduce our electricity consumption and also provide brighter lights.
