New Catholic Secondary School Fitzgibbon in 2022

Brisbane Catholic Education has purchased a property on Beams Road at Fitzgibbon (Big Easy Golf Range) on which it will open a co-educational Catholic secondary college. It is anticipated that the new college may open in 2022, though this is subject to change as it depends upon a range of factors such as projected demand, government approvals and capital funding. The new college is required to meet the increase in student numbers throughout the northern suburbs and will be the only co-educational Catholic college in the region (the closest existing co-educational colleges being at Mitchelton and Mango Hill). It will allow children currently attending Catholic primary schools to continue their education in a local, high-quality secondary college. Priority will be given to students of local Catholic primary schools.
