Children's Liturgy of the Word
"Let the little children come to me; do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs" Mark 10:3
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) refers to the practice of children leaving the Sunday assembly, and gathering elsewhere to celebrate a separate Liturgy of the Word that is more appropriate to their level of understanding.
Children's Liturgy is held at St Flannan's Catholic Parish during school terms at the 9.00 AM Mass on the second and last Sunday of the month.
CLOW is suitable for children from Pre-Prep (with parent support) to upper primary (12 years).
Anyone who is interested may volunteer to be a CLOW leader. Most leaders are parents who receive support, resource materials and training including in the Safeguarding Children Policy. Leaders undertake this ministry in pairs and are required to hold a Blue Card.
If you are interested in supporting this important ministry, please contact the Parish Office.
